Tranum Fosdal-Hærvejens Perler
Along the way, you will pass Bavnehøj – the highest point of Jammerbugten (83 meters above sea level) – and continue down into the deep, green Fosdal near Our Lady's Spring, where people have sought healing since the Middle Ages. You can read more about it here. The route goes through the valley's lush deciduous forest with birdsong, babbling brooks, and a rich flora with rare species. The return trip follows the upper edge of Lien, where you can enjoy magnificent sea views before reaching the narrow, peaceful valley of Langdalen. It's a hike for both body and senses – rewarded with varied nature, views, and tranquility. The route is certified as a Premium Hiking Trail by the Deutsches Wanderinstitut and is marked with blue-green symbols. Five signposted shortcuts make it possible to shorten the journey.

Lien
Lien is the ancient coastal ridge from when the Stone Age sea hit the hill island 6000 years ago. From here, there are repeated panoramic views over the sea and foreland. The escarpment stretches over 7 km and separates two distinct types of landscapes. Along Lien, there are deep gorges and spring wells.
Practical information
The route starts at Strandvejen 37, 9460 Brovst (by the forest playground in Tranum)
The route is well signposted, and map tables are placed at the shortcut points.
There are toilets at the start of the route and at the area above Fosdalen, which the route passes right by.
There is a resting spot at the area above Fosdalen, and there are also 2 shelters on the route, one near Fosdalen and one just before Tranum.

The route is certified as a Premium Hiking Trail by the Deutsches Wanderinstitut and is marked with blue-green symbols. Five signposted shortcuts make it possible to shorten the journey.
